GuideLites at Bits & Pretzels and How to Web 2026

Around 7,500 people will hold roughly 21,000 founder-investor meetings in just three days. That works out to almost three meetings per attendee, packed into one conference center in Munich during Oktoberfest. The event is Bits & Pretzels, and two weeks later, How to Web in Bucharest expects more than 3,000 people from over 40 countries and 2,500+ scheduled meetings.

Numbers like these explain why tech conferences still matter, even in a year when most work happens over video calls. A conversation at a booth often moves faster than ten emails, and you get to see the product working on a real screen instead of in a slide.

This fall, GuideLites will be at both events. From September 28 to 30, we'll be in Munich for Bits & Pretzels as part of the Market Discovery Mission. From October 6 to 8, we'll be in Bucharest for How to Web, with our own booth for one day of the conference. Below you'll find what each event is about, what we're bringing, and how to set up a meeting with our team.

Bits & Pretzels in Munich: September 28–30, 2026

Bits & Pretzels is one of the largest startup conferences in Europe. It takes place at the International Congress Center Messe (ICM) in Munich and brings together more than 3,000 founders, over 1,700 investors, and 600+ leaders and corporate decision makers from companies with €50 million or more in revenue.

The organizers keep attendance capped at 7,500 and aim for a ratio of two founders per investor. That cap is deliberate. It keeps the event focused on meetings rather than crowds, which is why the conference reports around 21,000 founder-investor meetings. The first two days are built around networking, masterclasses, and a curated speaker program, and the timing during Oktoberfest gives the whole week a very Munich feel.

Why we're going: the Market Discovery Mission

We're attending as part of the Market Discovery Mission in Munich, a program for Serbian tech companies that want to understand the German and wider DACH market (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The mission gives participants a chance to meet people from the local innovation ecosystem, follow current technology trends, and explore what it takes to expand into these countries. The program pays particular attention to companies working in AI, B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, and deep tech.

The Market Discovery Mission is part of the Tehnopark Srbija 3 – Innovate Forward project, run by the Science Technology Park Belgrade (NTP Beograd) with support from the Government of Switzerland and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

What this means for companies in the DACH region

GuideLites already works with a strong partner network in the Netherlands, and the DACH region is a natural next step. If you run digital signage, reception, or workplace projects in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, or you're a reseller or integrator looking for a platform to add to your offer, Munich is a good place to talk. We'd rather have a 20-minute conversation over coffee at ICM than a long cold-email thread.

How to Web in Bucharest: October 6–8, 2026

How to Web describes itself as Eastern Europe's leading startup and technology conference, and the numbers support it. The 2026 edition expects more than 3,000 attendees, 500+ founders, 250+ investors, 150+ speakers, and over 50 side events around the main program. The conference runs for three days at the Face Convention Center in Bucharest.

The audience is a mix of founders, investors, tech professionals, and innovation leaders from larger companies. Talks this year focus on how AI is changing product development, Europe's place in the next wave of technology, and how to build companies that compete globally.

GuideLites at our own booth

Through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (Privredna komora Srbije) and its Center for Digital Transformation, GuideLites will have an exhibition booth for one day of the conference. This is where you can see our products running live, ask questions about your own setup, and talk to the people who build and support the platform.

If you're coming to Bucharest and want a guaranteed slot, get in touch before the event and we'll confirm the booth day and a time that works for you.

What We're Showing: Castit, Digital Reception, and What's Next

GuideLites builds software for the spaces people walk through every day: lobbies, meeting rooms, production floors, and shop floors. At both events, we'll focus on three products that can run on their own or together, under one contract and with one local partner.

Castit digital signage software

Castit is cloud-based digital signage software for managing, scheduling, and publishing content on one screen or across hundreds of locations. It works with a wide range of certified hardware, so companies don't need to replace their existing displays to get started.

Teams use Castit to show production data on factory floors, menus and promotions in hospitality, internal communication in offices, and wayfinding in larger buildings. The platform includes templates, a built-in Slide Creator, and dozens of apps that pull in live content such as weather, news, calendars, and dashboards. Castit keeps playing content if the internet connection drops, which matters for places where screens can't go blank. Over 20+ years, the platform has been used at airports, global manufacturers, and resorts.

Digital Reception visitor management

Digital Reception handles the check-in process for visitors, contractors, and delivery staff. Guests register at a kiosk or tablet, the host gets notified right away, and the company keeps an accurate record of who is in the building at any time.

This matters most in places where safety and compliance are part of daily work, such as manufacturing sites, healthcare facilities, and multi-tenant office buildings. Visitors can read and sign safety instructions or NDAs during check-in, which saves reception staff time and gives the company a reliable paper trail without the paper.

Something new: room booking with wireless e-paper displays

We'll also give visitors an early look at what we've been working on: a room booking product with wireless e-paper door panels. The panels show whether a room is free or taken, and people can book or release rooms directly at the door. Because e-paper uses very little power, the panels don't need cabling to each door, which makes installation much simpler in existing buildings.

This product completes what we call the three pillars of the GuideLites platform: welcoming visitors, booking meeting rooms, and informing people on screens. Companies can start with one and add the others when they're ready.

Let's Meet in Munich or Bucharest

If you're attending Bits & Pretzels or How to Web, we'd like to hear what you're working on. Maybe you're planning a digital signage rollout, replacing a paper visitor log, or looking for an easier way to manage meeting rooms. Maybe you're searching for a platform to offer your own clients. Either way, a short conversation on site is often the fastest way to see which GuideLites products fit your building, whether that's Castit, Digital Reception, our new room booking solution, or all three on one platform.

Send us a message with the event you're attending and a few words about your project, and we'll book a time that works for both of us. Can't make it to either event? Book a demo online and we'll walk you through the products that matter to you on a call.

See you in Munich and Bucharest.
